FungiXpert® Candida IgM Antibody Detection Kit (CLIA) uses chemiluminescence immunoassay technology to detect mannan-specific IgM antibodies in human serum, providing a rapid and effective auxiliary means for detection of susceptible people. Used with full-automatic instrument, FACIS, the product can realize the minimum operation and the least time to get accurate quantitative results for IgM detection.

Mannan is a component of cell wall of filamentous fungi and Candida which is dominated by Candida albicans. When systemic fungal infection occurs, mannan and its metabolic components persist in the host body fluid stimulate the host humoral immune response to produce specific antibodies against mannan.

Combination test of Candida IgG and IgM antibody is one of the most accurate way to check candida infection. The IgM antibodies can help identify if the patient has an active infection. The IgG antibodies will show the presence of a past or ongoing infection.
