Product Introduction

FungiXpert® Bacterial Endotoxin Detection Kit is a highly sensitive and rapid diagnostic test that detects lipopolysaccharide (LPS) qualitatively in human serum. The assay is used to provide rapid diagnosis reference for the clinicians in identifying Gram-negative bacterial infection early in the disease process. EDT-110T series are intended for manual operation with microplate reader. EKT-5M/10M are used with our semi-automated instrument MB80 series and fully automated instrument IGL series.

Principle of endotoxin test

Endotoxin is a unique composition of cell wall of G- bacteria.

Endotoxin is an exogenous pyrogen which can activate neutrophils to release a endogenous pyrogen which act on center of thermoregulation and subsequently cause fever. The main chemical component of endotoxin is lipid A of lipopoly-saccharide (LPS).

When the bacterial cell is cracked or destroyed, endotoxin will be released.

1. Make early diagnosis to most of G- bacterial infection disease;
2. Provide accurate evidence for drug application and treatment;
3. Realize the dynamic monitoring for the infection disease;
