Product Introduction

The FungiXpert® Cryptococcal Capsular Polysaccharide Detection Kit (ELISA) is an immunoenzymatic sandwich microplate assay for the qualitative detection of Cryptococcal capsular polysaccharide antigen in serum and cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) samples of patients with symptoms of, or medical conditions predisposing the patient to, invasive cryptococcal infection in clinical laboratories. The serum concentration of capsular polysaccharide, a unique cell-wall component of cryptococcal, can be used as an aid in the diagnosis of deep-seated cryptococcal. And the concentration of capsular polysaccharide in CSF fluid can be used as the basis for the diagnosis of cryptococcal infection.

The FungiXpert® Cryptococcal Capsular Polysaccharide Detection Kit (ELISA) is a test which, when used in conjunction with other diagnostic procedures such as microbiological culture, histological examination of biopsy samples and radiographic evidence can be used as an aid in the diagnosis of Invasive Cryptococcus.
